Rubie Mae Gregory of Pemberton, New Jersey, passed away on Monday, November 11, 2019, after a long battle with Alzheimer’s. She was 87 years old.
Rubie was the beloved daughter of the late Curtis and Mary Francis Johnson.
Rubie was born in Grayridge, Missouri. In 1949, she graduated from high school in Cairo, Illinois. She married James E. Gregory in 1952 and completed a Bachelor of Arts degree from Southern Illinois University in 1953.
