Catherine Ann Jordan (affectionately known as “Tootsie”) was born July 16, 1939 in Jackson, NC to the late James Bragg and the late Catherine Wall. She had one sibling, the late James Bragg Jr. Catherine was married to the late William R. Jordan Sr. and together they parented seven sons, of which two sons (Michael and Anthony) preceded her in death.

Catherine accepted Christ at an early age. She was a faithful member of Tabernacle Baptist Church (Burlington, NJ) and attended church regularly until her health did not allow her to do so. She was an active member of the Soup Kitchen and the Red Hat Society.

At an early age Catherine moved from Jackson, NC to Washington, DC where she spent the remainder of her childhood and was educated in the Washington, DC Public School System. While in her early twenties she moved to Atlantic City, NJ where she spent a few years, then moved to Philadelphia, PA. In 1969 she moved to Willingboro NJ and from 1998 to present lived in Moorestown, NJ.

If you knew Catherine, you knew that she was soft spoken, mild-mannered and a woman of God who was always prepared and ready to go home to her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Catherine was a lover of pets and especially fond of exotic birds. She also loved Arts and Crafts; having her own kiln, her specialty was ceramics and pottery. She also enjoyed watching her Dallas Cowboys and Boxing events.

Left to cherish fond memories of a life well spent include her sons William R. Jordan Jr. (Susan), Henderson N. Jordan, Kim Jordan (all of Philadelphia PA), Jay R. Jordan (Moorestown NJ) and Todd M. Jordan (Caren) Havertown, PA; one Aunt Cora Bell Ward (Rich Square, NC) and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
