Mark Ruff

Mark Ruff, the eldest child born to Mary Evelyn and Gene Ruff on August 12, 1962 in Omaha, Nebraska. He entered his enteral rest with our heavenly father on January 22, 2021 in Philadelphia, PA.
Mark met and accepted the Lord at an early age. As a young man he attended church services regularly with his family. Mark knew he was blessed and he would let people he met know of his blessings by his wide-eyed smile and giving spirit.
Mark attended Pemberton Township Schools and graduated in June 1980. After high school, Mark served our country by joining the United States Army. He served our country faithfully for several years. He later joined the United States Air Force as a Reservist. Following his military service, Mark worked numerous jobs including the US Postal Service.
One of Mark’s greatest joys was welcoming into the world his 2 sons Mark William Ruff and Drew Anthony Ruff. Mark was a proud father and elated that he later became a grandfather to 2 handsome grandsons (Elijah and Isaiah). He loved spending time with his 2 “favorite little men” and going on outings with his boys to see one of his favorite teams, the Philadelphia 76ers or watching his favorite football team the Dallas Cowboys.
Mark had a special relationship with his brother Michael and with his baby sister Gena. Knowing these siblings, we all know Gena, although the youngest, is the “boss” of both brothers, especially Mark.
Mark spent some of his adult life living and working in Buffalo, NY. While in Buffalo, he kept up his tradition of spending quality time with family. He shared a special bond with Cousin Chuck, they had so many things in common. Mark was very caring and known to make surprise check-in phone calls and pop-up visits to cousins just to see how they were doing.
Mark enjoyed life! Some of the things Mark enjoyed most was helping others, laughing, eating good food and collecting and wearing hats. Most of his hats showcased his favorite teams or his great pride in being a Military Veteran.
Mark was preceded in death by his grandparents, E. Mary Swans Blackshear and Hubert Ruff. He leaves to cherish his memory, his mother Mary Evelyn and father Gene (Juanita), his 2 devoted sons Mark (Shoshanna), Drew (Shaeda), his grandsons Elijah and Isaiah, loving brother Michael (Jennifer), loving sister Gena, nieces, nephews, loving aunts, uncles, cousins, loads of near and dear friends and many that simply loved him.
Celebration of Life Memorial Service for family only will held Saturday, February 6, 2021 2PM at the TL Hutton Family & Friends Funeral Services, 869 Beverly Road, Burlington, NJ. Service will be live stream at 2pm at www.TLHuttonfuneralservices.com
